THE STABLE AND THE CART SHED - CONDITIONS OF LETTING
TERMS. The cottages are generally let from Saturday to Saturday unless otherwise arranged. (Short breaks can be arranged at quieter times of the year). They are available between 3pm on the day of arrival and 10am on the day of departure. Guests planning to arrive later should advise the Owners accordingly.
DEPOSITS. A deposit of 30% of the total holiday cost is payable on booking (the balance being paid by cash or cheque on arrival). The dates are reserved for one week, during which time the deposit must be received, if not the cottage may be re-let. On receipt of the deposit the booking will be confirmed to you in writing.
CANCELLATIONS. If you have to cancel, please let us know immediately. Payment of a deposit constitutes a binding contract, and you will be liable for the full charge if cancellation occurs less than 8 weeks before commencement of your stay. We will attempt to re-let the cottage. If this is not successful full payment will be required.
VISITORS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR OWN CANCELLATION INSURANCE ARRANGEMENTS
AVAILABILITY. Should either of the cottages not be available due to circumstances beyond our control (for example fire, theft or damage) we cannot guarantee to provide alternative accommodation, in which case all sums will be returned to you in full. No further liability will be accepted.
NUMBER IN PARTY. The number of persons or pets occupying a cottage must not exceed that agreed at the time of booking, unless subsequently arranged with the Owners.
DOGS. Well-behaved, fully house-trained dogs are allowed by prior arrangement, but MUST NOT be allowed on the furniture or left unattended in the cottages.
DAMAGE AND CLEANLINESS. The owners endeavour to maintain the high standards of cleanliness at all times. To continue these standards, the Hirer must undertake to keep all furniture, fittings and effects in the same good condition as found. There is a list of items kept in each cottage. Any breakages should be reported at once; we reserve the right to charge for any non-trivial damage howsoever caused. Upon departure you are requested to leave everything in a clean and tidy condition.
ACCESS. The owners reserve the right of access to the cottages at all reasonable times.
LIABILITY. The Owners cannot accept liability for loss or damage to Guests' property or for personal injury. Cars are parked at owners' risk.
